Apprenticeship Program Details, Duration, and Path to    Success

Missouri's tattoo license requirement is 300 hours and 50 procedures with a Missouri licensed tattoo artist that specializes in Permanent Makeup. Apprenticeship licensure must be filed by me, and approved by the state before any work can be performed on a person, MUST be 18 years of age at program start. A Bloodborne Pathogens for tattooing Certificate, as well as CPR certificate, must be obtained 2 weeks prior to start date and sent off with the licensure paperwork. This can be done through Protrainings.com

Program completion varies from person to person, and can be done in as little as 3 months or up to a year. What’s great about the PMU apprenticeship program is that most of it is self paced, so you can work as much or as little as you like inside the apprentice hours offered, with the exception of the scheduled class dates.

Length of time in the apprenticeship is dependent on your availability, willingness to work, and how many clients you obtain to perform services on. While The Archery Permanent Cosmetics assists you in getting models for your procedures, overall it is the apprentices responsibility to get them. We teach you the skills you need to market yourself, and help you set up your future business for success. Word of mouth is incredibly valuable and building your brand from day one is PRICELESS!

Proficiency and quality of work is considered when you've completed your hours and procedures, before submitting for final licensure. The Archery Permanent Cosmetics will need to ensure your ability to provide quality work, and exhibit the knowledge of what you’ve been taught during your apprenticeship.
